Commercial deal documentation under review

Deals and commodities

Deal preparation, data rooms and commodity execution.

Build the evidence, organise the diligence and move credible opportunities across coal, copper and major metals markets.

Commercial position

Preparation before promotion.

Oakhampton helps principals turn fragmented opportunities into controlled, decision-ready work. We separate what is evidenced from what is asserted, expose execution gaps early and structure the next step around a defined mandate.

01

Deal preparation

Make the opportunity ready to assess and engage.

We organise the commercial case before buyers, investors, lenders or strategic counterparties are approached. The output is a clear position: what the deal is, who has authority, what evidence exists, what is missing and what can credibly happen next.

  • Opportunity, mandate and counterparty assessment
  • Deal positioning, teaser and information-pack preparation
  • Commercial, technical and financial evidence-gap review
  • Buyer, investor, lender and offtaker readiness
  • Diligence workplan and controlled next-step management

02

Data-room management

Keep diligence complete, controlled and decision-useful.

A data room is not a file dump. We create the index, evidence map, permission model and request process needed to keep advisers and counterparties working from the same controlled record.

  • Data-room architecture, document index and naming controls
  • Permissions, version control and evidence custody
  • Diligence request list and Q&A management
  • Missing-document, inconsistency and dependency tracking
  • Decision-ready status reporting for principals and advisers

03

Market intelligence

Research the decision and its adjacent impacts.

Start with a natural-language mandate: the asset, commodity, geography, counterparty or decision that needs monitoring. The work then follows the evidence from what changed, through why it matters, to second-order implications and counter-signals.

  • Natural-language research mandates rather than manual stream setup
  • Market, buyer, seller, project and counterparty mapping
  • Pricing context, benchmarks and comparable transactions
  • Direct, correlated and adjacent market impacts
  • Cited sources, timestamps, counter-signals and explicit limitations

Commodity trading support

Major coal, copper and metals markets.

We support mandate intake, market positioning, buyer and seller engagement, specification review, commercial terms, logistics context and execution tracking. Every opportunity remains subject to authority, counterparty, origin, quality and compliance evidence.

Coal

Metallurgical and coking coal, PCI, thermal coal and anthracite, subject to specification, origin and mandate.

Copper

Cathode, concentrate, wire rod and secondary copper, with grade, treatment terms, delivery basis and counterparty evidence made explicit.

Metals & minerals

Iron ore, manganese, chrome, bauxite and alumina, zinc, lead, nickel, battery and critical minerals, and selected precious metals where evidence supports the mandate.

MandateSpecificationMarket and priceCounterpartyLogisticsExecution

Oakhampton does not present an opportunity as executable until the mandate, product specification, commercial terms, logistics and counterparty authority are sufficiently evidenced. Services are scoped per engagement and do not constitute legal, tax or regulated financial advice.

Start with the evidence

Bring the deal, data room or commodity mandate.

We will establish what is ready, what is missing and the smallest credible route towards execution.
